Find your Valheim folder

In Steam, right-click Valheim → Manage → Browse local files. Keep this folder open. It normally ends in:

Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim

Install BepInExPack 5.4.2333

Download the pinned Windows package. Open the ZIP, enter its BepInExPack_Valheim folder, then copy all contents into the Valheim folder beside valheim.exe.

Install both required mods

Both mods are required for every player. Download each exact version below.

Thunderstore ZIPs are flat archives—they do not contain a plugins folder. Under Valheim\BepInEx\plugins, create one folder per mod and extract the complete matching ZIP directly into it:

plugins\AzuCraftyBoxes\<all package files>
plugins\PlantEverything\<all package files>

Do not put the ZIPs in plugins, mix both archives into one folder, or copy only their DLL files.

CameraTweaks 1.3.1

CameraTweaks increases how far you can zoom out on foot and in boats. Extract its complete ZIP into BepInEx\plugins\CameraTweaks.

For extended zoom, launch and close Valheim once, then open BepInEx\config\Searica.Valheim.CameraTweaks.cfg. In the [2 - Camera] section, set:

Max Distance = 12
Max Distance (Boat) = 18

Restart Valheim and scroll the mouse wheel down to zoom out. You may choose any values from 6 to 20.

Render Limits 1.14.0

Render Limits extends actual terrain, structure, tree, and grass visibility. Extract the complete ZIP into BepInEx\plugins\RenderLimits.

Performance warning: larger areas require more CPU, memory, and graphics power and may cause lower frame rates or longer loading pauses. Start modestly and remove the mod if Valheim becomes laggy.

Launch and close Valheim once, then open BepInEx\config\render_limits.cfg and use these starting values:

[1. Zones]
Active zones = 1
Loaded zones = 3
Generated zones = 5
Real terrain visibility = 0

[2. Quality]
Clutter visibility = 60

These settings affect visuals on your own client. Setting loaded zones to 2, generated zones to 4, and clutter visibility to 45 restores the normal distances.

Launch and join

Start Valheim normally from Steam. A console window opening alongside the game is expected. In Valheim choose Start Game, select your character, then Join Game → Add server.

Get the private server address and password from the Ropliai Discord #general channel, or ask Tomsen. Enter both, then wait for the first load to finish.

Troubleshooting

If it doesn’t connect

Incompatible version

Check BepInEx and both required mod versions above. Remove older duplicate mod folders from plugins, then relaunch.

No BepInEx console

BepInEx was probably copied one folder too deep. winhttp.dll must sit directly beside valheim.exe.

Server not responding

Confirm that you copied the latest details from Ropliai Discord #general, then ask Tomsen whether the modded server is online.

Updated by accident

Delete only the affected mod folder and reinstall the pinned version from this page. Avoid “Update all” in mod managers.
